Flaming Lips & David Bowie Sweeten “Heartbreak Kid” Soundtrack

The Farrelly Brothers: Apparently they have good soundtracks. We don’t really watch their movies cause we’re fucking huge snobs, but sure (we’re sort of kidding, we’ve seen their films, but honestly never paid too much attention to their discs; which seem replete with indie-esque filler).

The soundtrack to their upcoming hilarious bridezilla lolfest, “The Heartbreak Kid,” contains two new songs by soundtrack whores, The Flaming We’ll-Write-You-A-New-Song-if-it-Pays Lips and also features David Bowie classics according to the tracklist given to the indie-rock enthusiasts at Pitchfork media.

Though there are only two David Bowie tracks on the soundtrack disc, Rolling Stone reported that there are six Bowie songs used in the movie.

The Heartbreak Kid soundtrack:
01 The Flaming Lips: “The Horny Frog”
02 David Bowie: “Ashes to Ashes”
03 Buva: “She Makes Me Fall Down”
04 World Party: “Put the Message in the Box”
05 John Alagia: “Honey Come Home”
06 The Weepies: “Painting by Chagall”
07 Brian Hyland: “Gypsy Woman”
08 Amy LeVere: “Take Em or Leave Em”
09 Buva: “First Cut Is the Deepest”
10 Julieta Venegas: “Canciones de Amor”
11 The Flaming Lips: “Maybe I’m Not the One”
