Yes, we know, 2009 is so last year but when Quentin Tarantino lists of his favorite of the year, you have to pay attention.
Speaking to the only Brit tabloid writer we trust, Baz Bamigboye, the director rattled off his fave his films noting that its not definitive and subject to change. It’s certainly slightly different than the Top 8 he listed for The Hollywood Reporter last month (and it’s actually 11 in total).
They’re apparently in no particular order, but Tarantino says, “My movie aside, I cannot NOT list Avatar at the top.”

We find the idea of fanboys suddenly championing “Julie And Julia” because QT loves it kind of amusing. Sadly, no love for “Bright Star,” a film he championed earlier this year at Cannes. In characteristic modesty, Tarantino recently spoke to the LA Times about his “Inglourious Basterds” Oscar chances and said its inclusion in this year’s award season is validation. “So, it actually means a lot to be in contention at the end of my second decade in business,” he said in a voice barely below a shout. “My wine is aging well!”
