Billy Bob Thornton Not Voicing A ‘Wild Thing,’ It’s Chris Cooper Actually

Remember how Aint It Cool said that Billy Bob Thornton was one of the actors voicing one of the monsters in Spike Jonze’s adaptation of “Where The Wild Things Are”? Well, apparently they misheard the voice. We thought something was up and emailed the writer of the long and extensive interview with the director, Drew McWeeney and he confirms to us it wasn’t Thorton, but another voice: Chris Cooper, the Missouri-born actor who worked with Jonze on “Adaptation” portraying the role of the eccentric orchid poacher, John Laroche. I was wrong,” McWeeney said noting that the original article had been corrected. “He sounds just like Thornton, and I didn’t even ask because we were talking about other things [so rapidly].”

Fair enough. So who is Cooper voicing, Daniel the Bull? We still think so, but time will tell we guess. Update: McWeeney tells us that Cooper is voicing Alexander the Goat, which many (including us) though was voiced by Paul Dano. This throws our whole list of: what actors are voicing what monsters into total wack. Ugh.
