Jon Brion Appears In Judd Apatow's 'Funny People'

Chances are if you’re vaguely cool, remotely funny and live in L.A. you’ll probably be clocking some time in Judd Apatow’s stand-up comedians dramedy, “Funny People.”

The film already pretty much features an appearance by every single living indie stand-up comic on Earth (or at least a whole ton of them).

Now comes word from our friends at Rawkblog that polymath musician/composer Jon Brion (the score to “Eternal Sunshine Of the Spotless Mind,” “Synecdoche, New York” and “Punch Drunk Love” to name a few) makes an appearance in the film. Or at least in the trailer where they spotted him (dude on the left with the orange guitar). Is that him? Either the real deal or a superclose proximity (basically yes). Do we get to see a brief moment in the film of him jamming out with Adam Sandler’s main character? Looks that way from the trailer. Is the scene in the film? Considering it’s currently running 2.5 hours and something needs to be trimmed its anyone’s guess, but let’s hope so.

Oh and don’t get your hopes up too high though. Jason Schwartzman is writing the score for the film, but it is incestuous L.A. so you never know: Brion could easily help out here and there. [Rawkblog]
