‘IF’ Trailer: John Krasinski Explores Imaginary Friends With Ryan Reynolds In May

Should adults reconnect with their lost imaginary friends? A young girl can make that happen in the new film “IF.” Writer and director John Krasinski crafts a comedy that speaks to childhood imagination while showing how much adults lose that sense of wonder. Cailey Fleming stars as the special kid with a knack for seeing imaginary friends. She finds herself balancing the unique gift with trying to live an everyday life. Ryan Reynolds co-stars as a man whose abilities might align with his young neighbor. Krasinski adds even more duties by appearing in the project.

The film finds some of its charm in the outstanding voice cast. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr., and Steve Carell are some notable names who voice imaginary friends. Gossett Jr. is an especially poignant cast addition, having passed away in March of this year.
