How did a bus full of young passengers, their teachers, and a bus driver escape disaster? “The Lost Bus” presents an action thriller about one driver’s heroism and the lives forever changed by 2018’s Camp Fire. Based on real events, the film follows Kevin McKay as he makes an agonizing choice. His decision to pick up stranded students soon turns into a fight for survival as they navigate congested roads, intense smoke, and fiery obstructions. The film hails from celebrated director Paul Greengrass. His talent for transforming true events into acclaimed cinematic fare is again displayed with ‘Bus.’

Veteran performer Matthew McConaughey takes on the role of the brave driver. It is a welcome return for the actor, who voices Buster Moon in the “Sing” films. He also saw another starring role in “The Rivals of Amziah King” receive praise during this year’s SXSW. His co-star, America Ferrera, has more than proven herself to be proficient in drama and comedy. The actress starred in the 2023 blockbuster “Barbie.” She’ll soon be working with another childhood favorite, voicing a character in next year’s animated “The Cat in the Hat.”
