Animation guru Genndy Tartakovsky and Sony Pictures Animation are behind the new mature streaming film “Fixed” that is heading to Netflix next month on August 13. We’ve been sent a new trailer and clip for the comedic pic to share.
The impressive voice cast assembled for “Fixed” features the talents of Adam Devine, Idris Elba, Kathryn Hahn, Fred Armisen, Bobby Moynihan, Beck Bennett, Michelle Buteau, and River Gallo.
An official synopsis courtesy of Netflix:
An adult animated comedy about Bull, an average, all-around good dog who discovers he’s going to be neutered in the morning! As the gravity of this life-altering event sets in, Bull realizes he needs one last adventure with his pack of best friends, as these are the last 24 hours with his balls! What could go wrong…?
“Fixed” employs some striking 2D animation, once considered an outdated style which is slowly having a bit of a resurgence in the industry, with Walt Disney Animation chief Jared Bush recently telling The Wrap last month that Disney is going to attempt to return to traditional hand-drawn 2D animation.
The script was penned by Tartakovsky and Jon Vitti with a story credit for Steve Greenberg, Rich Lufrano, Tartakovsky, and Vitti.
Tartakovsky has made quite a name for himself in the world of animation (dabbling in both traditional 2D and modern 3D animation) with his fantastic “Clone Wars” shorts (helping to redefine and rebrand that era of “Star Wars“) alongside “Samurai Jack,” “Dexter’s Laboratory,” the Emmy-winning mature series “Primal,” helmed multiple “Hotel Transylvania” movies for Sony led by Adam Sandler, and was once behind an attempt to revive “Popeye” with a new animated movie at Sony that failed to get made.
Warning, the trailer is red-brand, meaning it is uncensored promotional material, which you can watch below alongside a new clip.
