Romance is easy when it’s new, intoxicating, and still wrapped in possibility. The trouble begins when time passes, the story solidifies, and the truth must find a home. In “56 Days,” that somewhere appears to be an apartment with a corpse in it.
The trailer is out for ’56 Days,” the new binge-ready thriller arriving on Prime Video on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, with all eight episodes dropping simultaneously. Adapted from Catherine Ryan Howard’s bestselling novel, the series stars Dove Cameron as Ciara Wyse and Avan Jogia as Oliver Kennedy, two strangers who meet in a supermarket and fall hard, fast, and maybe fatally.

Fifty-six days into their relationship, homicide investigators arrive at Oliver’s apartment to find an unidentified body that has been brutally murdered and intentionally decomposed. The central hook is as sharp as it is nasty: did he kill her, or did she kill him?
The show’s structure intercuts an intense, single-day present-tense investigation with the twisted trajectory of the couple’s affair in the past, positioning it as both a high-concept crime puzzle and a sexy psychological spiral: Karla Souza and Dorian Missick co-star.
From Atomic Monster, the series is written and executive produced by Lisa Zwerling and Karyn Usher, with James Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett also serving as executive producers. Amazon MGM Studios and Atomic Monster produce the project.
If the concept is the engine, the real attraction is the countdown baked into the title: a love story measured in days, and a mystery that turns intimacy into motive.
