Sometimes the most damning evidence in a murder mystery isn’t the blood or the weapon—it’s the history. Apple TV+ had that exact vibe in mind with “Imperfect Women,” the upcoming eight-episode limited series that just received a first-look teaser and a confirmed premiere schedule.

Based on Araminta Hall’s novel and adapted for television by Annie Weisman (who also serves as showrunner), “Imperfect Women” follows a crime that detonates a decades-long friendship between three women, with the investigation pulling apart everything they thought they knew about each other—guilt, retribution, betrayal, and all the life-altering compromises that come with it.
Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington star and executive produce, alongside Kate Mara, with co-stars including Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr., Sheryl Lee Ralph, Ana Ortiz, Wilson Bethel, and more.
Apple TV+ announced that the limited series will debut globally with the first two episodes on Wednesday, March 18, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through April 29.

Behind the scenes, the series is a co-production between 20th Television and Apple Studios. Weisman executive produces as showrunner, with Moss executive producing alongside Lindsey McManus via Love & Squalor Pictures, and Washington executive producing for Simpson Street alongside Pilar Savone. Lesli Linka Glatter directs and executive-produces the first episode, with Hall and writer Kay Oyegun also serving as executive producers.
