Perfection is already a commodity in the fashion world—another luxury item you can’t afford. But Ryan Murphy, the TV maximalist behind “American Horror Story,” takes that familiar sickness and makes it literal in “The Beauty,” a glossy global thriller where “high fashion” doesn’t just consume you—it rewires your body.

Slated to premiere January 21, the new series stars Evan Peters and Rebecca Hall as FBI agents dropped into a Paris nightmare of dead supermodels, designer sheen, and an infection that promises physical perfection at a monstrous price.
The hook is nasty in the best way: in the official setup, international supermodels begin dying in grotesque, mysterious ways, pulling FBI Agents Cooper Madsen and Jordan Bennett into Paris—only to uncover not a serial killer but a sexually transmitted virus that turns people into visions of physical perfection, with consequences so brutal it curdles the “miracle” into a curse. The trail leads to The Corporation, the empire behind “The Beauty,” and its lethal enforcer, The Assassin, as the contagion spreads across borders and bodies and drags an outsider named Jeremy into a globe-hopping race from Paris to Venice, Rome, and New York to stop something that could reshape humanity’s future.
Murphy co-creates and co-writes the series with Matthew Hodgson, with 20th Television serving as the producer. The cast includes Ashton Kutcher as The Corporation, Anthony Ramos as The Assassin, and Jeremy Pope, along with guest appearances by Bella Hadid, Isabella Rossellini, Ben Platt, Jessica Alexander, and Vincent D’Onofrio.
Behind the camera, the EP bench is stacked: Murphy and Hodgson executive produce alongside Peters, Ramos, Pope, and a roster that includes Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Nissa Diederich, Michael Uppendahl, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Gitter, Peter Schwerin, and Jeremy Haun.
“The Beauty” premieres January 21 with three episodes. Watch the trailer below.
