Fashion never truly goes out of style — it just waits for a comeback. Nearly twenty years after “The Devil Wears Prada” became a pop-culture institution, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci reunite for “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” set to open in theaters May 1, 2026.

The sequel finds the core ensemble stepping back into the sleek, high-pressure world of Runway Magazine, where couture and cruelty are stitched together as tightly as ever. Director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna — the duo behind the 2006 original — return, promising a contemporary twist on the satire that made Miranda Priestly’s icy demeanor and Andy Sachs’s wide-eyed ambition instantly iconic.
Alongside the returning cast, a new lineup joins the fashion fray: Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora expand Runway’s editorial universe. Original cast members Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as Lily and Irv, ensuring at least a few familiar faces behind the glossy chaos.
Produced by Wendy Finerman and executive produced by Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt, and McKenna, the follow-up aims to capture the whip-smart dialogue and sharp satire that made the first film a generational touchstone. Details of the plot remain under wraps, but the teaser hints at an evolution of power dynamics — a Runway rebuilt for a new digital era, where influence is instant and loyalty even more disposable.
As Miranda once said, “That’s all.” But clearly, it wasn’t. “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is set to arrive exclusively in theaters on May 1, 2026. Watch the first teaser below.
