Russell and his Sundance debut, the amusing zom com “Life After Beth,” with Aubrey Plaza. Baena then followed it up with the medieval black comedy film “Little Hours.” His latest, ” Horse Girl,” which sounds a little bit more out there, is a darkly humorous psychological thriller which he wrote alongside actress Alison Brie (“GLOW“) who also co-starred in “Little Hours.” Clearly, these two click and have created a working rhythm together they enjoy.
