‘Yellowstone’ Season 5 Teaser Trailer: All Will Be Revealed November 13

It is Taylor Sheridan’s world, and we’re all just livin’ in it, especially if it’s the world of anything related to Paramount. The Academy Award-nominated creator/writer/showrunner’s “Yellowstone” hit series returns for season five on Sunday, November 13. Tonight, during the MTV Video Awards, the first teaser of the upcoming season was revealed. It arrives ahead of the planned “Yellowstone” marathon airing on Paramount Network over Labor Day weekend. Fans can tune in to TV’s #1 show from Friday, September 2 – Monday, September 5, starting at 11:00 AM ET/PT each day.

This might be a way to goose the show’s new wings. “Yellowstone” has been the #1 on regular television for some time, but critics have only been catching up to it recently.

“Yellowstone” season four premiere was cable’s highest-rated show, bringing in over 14 million viewers total. The season four finale drew over 10 million viewers. Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, “Yellowstone” chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Kevin Costner), who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect – the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and vicious business rivalries.

Co-created by Taylor Sheridan (“Wind River,” “Hell or High Water,” and “Sicario”), the writer/director has created a massive empire on Paramount and Paramount+. Sheridan already has one “Yellowstone” spin-off on the air, the prequel “1883,” and at least two more coming: “1923” with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, and “Yellowstone: 6666” which centers on underachieving Yellowstone ranch hand Jimmy (Jefferson White) and his move to a famous Texas ranch. Speaking of the Four-Sixes Ranch, it doesn’t have a release date, but in the new press release for “Yellowstone” season five, there are plenty of behind-the-scenes photos of ‘6666,’ and it has clearly started production if not already finished (see photos below)

Sheridan has at least two shows coming this fall, “Yellowstone” season five and “The Tulsa King,” starring Sylvester Stallone as a Kansas City mob boss, which is also rumored to briefly crossover with “Yellowstone.” Also in the works for either late 2022 or early 2023 is the aforementioned “1932” show and the second seasons of “1883” and Sheridan’s “The Mayor Of Kingstown” series starring Jeremy Renner.

Additional shows in development, waiting in the wings for some point, are “1883: The Bass Reeves Story,” starring Daniel Oyelowo,Land Man,” starring Billy Bob Thorton, and “Lioness,” starring Zoe Saldana. Sheridan is a busy man and is said to be delegating to new showrunners, but clearly, he isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
