Prime Video is pulling viewers back into the shadows. Today, the streamer unveiled the official trailer and key art for “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf,” the adrenaline-charged prequel to the 2022 global hit “The Terminal List.” Starring Taylor Kitsch, Chris Pratt, and Tom Hopper, the highly anticipated action-drama will premiere its first three episodes on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, with new episodes rolling out weekly through the September 24 finale.

“Dark Wolf” dives deep into the origin story of Ben Edwards (Kitsch), charting his transformation from Navy SEAL to CIA operative in a world of high-stakes espionage, moral ambiguity, and deadly covert missions. Chris Pratt returns as James Reece, joining a cast that also includes Tom Hopper, Robert Wisdom, Luke Hemsworth, Dar Salim, Rona-Lee Shimon, Shiraz Tzarfati, and Jared Shaw.

The series is co-created by Jack Carr, author of the bestselling “The Terminal List” novels, and Season One creator-showrunner David DiGilio. Executive producers include Kitsch, Pratt, Carr, DiGilio, Antoine Fuqua, Kat Samick, Max Adams, Jared Shaw, and Frederick E.O. Toye—who also directed the pilot after his Emmy-winning work on “Shōgun.”

As with the original series, authenticity remains front and center. Military veterans contribute as writers, actors, technical advisors, and producers, grounding “Dark Wolf” in realism while delivering explosive action and gut-punching drama.

With its taut storytelling and kinetic energy, “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf” promises to be a gripping deep dive into the cost of war and the brutal choices faced in the shadows of Special Operations.
