New 'Nomadland' Trailer: France McDormand Wanders & Reflects In Chloé Zhao's Acclaimed American West Drama

It’s arguable that “Nomadland” is the real primary frontrunner for the Oscar’s Best Picture this year. It was featured (and fought over) by every single major film festival this fall, won every major festival around, and is pretty much beloved by all, and for good reason, it’s just simply terrific, and yes, it’s on our list of the Best Films of 2020 (although much of the general populace won’t have seen it until now).

Following the economic collapse of a company town in rural Nevada, Fern (Frances McDormand) packs her van and sets off on the road exploring a life outside of conventional society as a modern-day nomad. The third feature film from director Chloé Zhao, NOMADLAND, features real nomads Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells as Fern’s mentors and comrades in her exploration through the vast landscape of the American West.
