‘Seven Snipers’ Trailer: Radha Mitchell & Tim Roth Face Off In Well Go USA’s Australian Action Thriller

Sandra Sciberras directs the R-rated revenge thriller, which follows a retired elite sniper pulled back into violence when her past reaches her remote home.

A quiet life in the Australian countryside does not last long in “Seven Snipers,” the new action-thriller from Sandra Sciberras, the filmmaker behind “The Dustwalker.” Well Go USA Entertainment has released the trailer for the film, which stars Radha Mitchell as a retired elite sniper whose attempt to protect her daughter away from her old life comes under attack.

Mitchell plays a former sniper living in isolation with her daughter, played by Annabel Wolfe. Their peace is shattered when a ruthless warlord from her past, played by Tim Roth (“Pulp Fiction,” “Reservoir Dogs”), tracks her down looking for revenge. With her family under threat, she calls in her old crew and prepares for a violent stand in the remote Australian countryside.

The setup gives Mitchell, whose credits include “Man on Fire,” “High Art “and “Silent Hill,” a rare action lead built around age, history, and survival rather than a fresh recruit learning the job. Roth, still one of the screen’s most reliable agents of menace (see “Resurrection” or “Peak Blinders: The Immortal Man”), arrives here as the kind of figure who brings an entire past life with him. The film’s cast also includes Ioan Gruffudd (“Fantastic Four”), Ryan Kwanten (“True Blood”), and Wolfe (“Surviving Summer”).

Sciberras directs from a story and script by Andrew O’Keefe, with Tristan Barr, Grant Hardie, Phil Hunt, Ian Kirk, Compton Ross, and Sciberras producing. The film arrives as a compact revenge thriller built around family danger, a fierce mama-bear protector, and the old-genre pleasure of watching someone dragged out of retirement because the wrong people won’t leave well enough alone.

“Seven Snipers” is available on digital June 5. Watch the trailer below.
