A blood bond and a buried past collide under the neon haze of New York nightlife in the first trailer for Netflix’s limited series “Black Rabbit,” a pulsing crime thriller led by Academy Award nominee Jude Law and Emmy winner Jason Bateman. Created by Oscar-nominated “King Richard” screenwriter Zach Baylin and producer Kate Susman, “Black Rabbit” unfolds inside Manhattan’s high-pressure nightlife scene, where power and reputation are currency. Jake Friedkin (Law) is the magnetic owner of The Black Rabbit, a VIP lounge on the cusp of becoming the hottest spot in the city. But when his brother Vince (Bateman) reenters the picture, old wounds and dangerous new threats threaten to unravel everything the brothers have built.

The series boasts a loaded ensemble including Cleopatra Coleman, Amaka Okafor, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee, Chris Coy, Dagmara Dominczyk, Odessa Young, and Robin De Jesus. Rounding out the cast are Amir Malaklou, Don Harvey, Forrest Weber, Francis Benhamou, Gus Birney, John Ales, and Steve Witting.

Directing duties are spread across an impressive roster: Bateman helms the first two episodes, Laura Linney—his “Ozark” co-star and fellow Netflix alum—directs episodes three and four, Ben Semanoff takes on episodes five and six, and Justin Kurzel, whose films have competed for Cannes’ Palme d’Or multiple times, closes the series with episodes seven and eight.

The executive producing team is just as stacked: Bateman, Michael Costigan, and Roxie Rodriguez for Aggregate Films; Law and Ben Jackson for Riff Raff Entertainment; Baylin and Susman for Youngblood Pictures; Bryan Kavanaugh Jones for Automatik; along with Andrew Hinderaker, Zac Fognowski, Justin Levy, Dave Bernon, and Erica Kay.
