‘Star Wars: Visions’ Volume 3 Trailer: Nine Acclaimed Anime Studios Return To The Galaxy Far, Far Away

Disney+ has released the official trailers—both in Japanese and in English dub—for the third installment of its Emmy- and Annie Award-winning anthology series “Star Wars: Visions.” The new volume arrives October 29, 2025, and once again showcases how Japanese animation continues to expand and reinterpret George Lucas’ mythic galaxy.

Building on the 2021 debut (which included the Emmy-nominated short “The Duel”) and the globally sourced second season, Volume 3 returns the spotlight to Japan with nine shorts from a roster that includes david production, Kamikaze Douga + ANIMA, Kinema citrus Co., Polygon Pictures, Production I.G., Project Studio Q, TRIGGER, and WIT STUDIO. Each shop brings its signature style and thematic lens, from kinetic action to contemplative force fables.

The eclectic voice cast includes Anna Sawai, Freddie Highmore, George Takei, Harvey Guillén, Jodie Turner-Smith, Judith Light, Simu Liu, Stephanie Hsu, and Steve Buscemi. Behind the scenes, executive producers James Waugh, Josh Rimes, and Jacqui Lopez steer the anthology, with Justin Leach as co-executive producer and Flannery Huntley and Kanako Shirasaki producing.

As ever, “Visions” privileges creative freedom over canon—an invitation for animators to remix Jedi, Sith, bounty hunters, and rebels through cultural traditions, genre hybrids, and experimental visuals. From TRIGGER’s fireworks to Production I.G’s sleek precision and WIT STUDIO’s soulful character drama, Volume 3 aims for another kaleidoscope of style across the galaxy.
