'Pen15' Season 2, Part 2 Trailer: The Emmy Nominated Cringe Traumedy Returns December 3

“It’s hard to keep your head above water when you’re a teenager — but a best friend can help keep you afloat.” That’s essentially the premise of the teen cringe comedy, “Pen15” (penis). If you’re not watching this show, oh boy, you need to. No one does embarrassing, teen awkwardness like creators and stars Anna Konkle and Maya Erskine who play teen versions of themselves on the show (a brilliant conceit cause they are real aged, but all the other kids on the show are kids).

Season two was interrupted by COVID-19, naturally. In the interim, they did an animated special, but today, it was just announced that the Emmy-nominated Hulu comedy series will return with new season two episodes on December 3. This second half of the season is figuring out where they fit in and some new teenage love for the girls. Here’s the official synopsis:

“Pen15” is an R-rated “traumedy” set in middle school as it really happened in the year 2000. Anna Konkle and Maya Erskine play versions of themselves as thirteen-year-old outcasts, surrounded by actual thirteen-year-olds. In this world, seventh grade never ends and the pains of growing up are inevitable.

From the Awesomeness studio, “Pen15” is created, written, and executive produced by Maya Erskine, Anna Konkle and Sam Zvibleman. Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone and Ali Bell at The Lonely Island/Party Over Here, Marc Provissiero and Brooke Pobjoy from Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, and Debbie Liebling also serve as executive producers.
