‘House Of Guiness’ Trailer: ‘Peaky Blinders’ Creator Steven Knight’s New Series Stars Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge & More

Few creators revel in the intoxicating blend of grit, family intrigue, and historical upheaval like Steven Knight. After transforming the Birmingham underworld into pop culture myth with “Peaky Blinders,” Knight now turns his sharp pen toward one of Europe’s most famous dynasties: the Guinness family. Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for “House of Guinness,” an eight-part saga set in 19th-century Dublin and New York, promising a heady mix of ambition, betrayal, and legacy-building drama. The series premieres globally on September 25, 2025.

The story begins in the shadow of Sir Benjamin Guinness’ death, the man who turned a local brewery into an empire. His passing leaves Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben to reckon with the weight of his will and the intoxicating reach of the Guinness name. Ever fascinated with characters caught between power and ruin, Knight frames the dynasty’s rise against a backdrop of brewing fortunes, fractured loyalties, and the struggles of Dublin’s working class drawn into the orbit of the Guinness empire.

Anthony Boyle (“Masters of the Air,” “Manhunt”) leads as Arthur Guinness, with Louis Partridge (“Disclaimer,” “Enola Holmes”) as Edward Guinness. Emily Fairn (“The Responder”) plays Anne Plunket (née Guinness), while Fionn O’Shea (“Normal People”) portrays Benjamin Guinness. The ensemble also features James Norton (“Happy Valley”), Dervla Kirwan (“True Detective: Night Country”), Jack Gleeson (“Game of Thrones”), Niamh McCormack (“Everything Now”), Danielle Galligan (“Shadow and Bone”), Ann Skelly (“The Nevers”), and Seamus O’Hara (“Blue Lights”).

Additional cast includes Michael McElhatton (“Game of Thrones”), David Wilmot (“Station Eleven”), Michael Colgan (“Say Nothing”), Jessica Reynolds (“Kneecap”), Hilda Fay (“The Woman In The Wall”), and Elizabeth Daulau (“Andor”).

The series comes from Kudos and Nebulastar, with Knight serving as creator and writer. Tom Shankland (“The Serpent”) directs the opening block, and Mounia Akl (“Costa Brava, Lebanon”) takes the second. Executive producers include Karen Wilson, Elinor Day, Knight, Martin Haines, Shankland, and Ivana Lowell, with Cahal Bannon as series producer and Howard Burch as producer. Kudos, part of Banijay UK, has delivered acclaimed dramas such as “This Town,” “SAS Rogue Heroes,” and “Deadwater Fell,” signaling “House of Guinness” as a prestige drama with global ambitions.

The trailer showcases Knight’s familiar stylistic brew—shadowy rooms where family schemes unfold, the clang of industry meeting the pomp of aristocracy, and the inevitable clash between dynastic power and personal freedom. For “Peaky Blinders” fans, it’s a familiar intoxicant in a fresh glass.
