‘Eden’ Trailer: Jude Law, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, & Sydney Sweeney Star in Ron Howard’s Survival Thriller

Vertical has dropped the first intense trailer for Ron Howard’s star-packed “Eden,” a survival thriller that pits Jude Law, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, Daniel Brühl, and Sydney Sweeney against the most dangerous enemy of all: each other. Based on a shocking true story, the film plunges viewers into a gripping tale of idealism gone wrong, where a quest to build paradise on a remote island spirals into chaos, betrayal, and deadly consequences.

The trailer takes viewers into the tension as a group of disillusioned outsiders abandons modern society to build a utopia on a remote island. Instead, they find themselves battling not just the brutal environment but also each other, descending into betrayal, violence, and chaos.

Sydney Sweeney, who co-stars in the film, praised its unsettling portrayal of human nature: “It’s the most fascinating look at humans and mankind,” she told The Wrap last year, reflecting on the shocking real-life events that inspired the story. “You read all these crazy characters, there’s no way that they all are real, and they all come together and have all these experiences,” Sweeney recalled from reading the script for the first time. “But then I went and I read Dora [Strauch’s] book, and I read Margret [Wittmer’s] book, and I found all the newspaper clippings of all their stories, and it’s the wildest account of people just put together.”

Written by Noah Pink (“Tetris”) and produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Karen Lunder, Stuart Ford, William M. Connor, and Patrick Newall, “Eden” promises a tense, atmospheric cinematic experience that examines survival and morality in equal measure.
