'Foundation' Teaser: David Goyer & Josh Friedman Bring An Isaac Asimov Sci-Fi Epic To AppleTV+

“People have been trying to make ‘Foundation‘ for over 50 years says,” producer/writer/creator David Goyer says of Isaac Asimov‘s groundbreaking science fiction novel. Known for co-writing most of Christopher Nolan‘s “The Dark Knight” trilogy movies and “Man Of Steel,” Goyer notes in the intro to this new “Foundation” teaser trailer for AppleTV+, “‘Foundation’ was an enormous influence on ‘Star Wars,’ it was the greatest science fiction story of all time, the story is sprawling, the scope is sprawling. If ever there were a company that was trying to better the world through connectivity, it’s Apple, and that was something very much that Asimov was hoping to do.”

So, yes, David Goyer and Josh Friedman (“Terminator: The Sarah Connor,” the writer of “Avatar 2“) are bringing “Foundation” to live vie AppleTV Plus. Today, the company, used part of its Worldwide Developers Conference today to show a brief at the sci-fi series headed to their streaming channel in 2021.

Foundation stars SAG Award-winner and Emmy-nominee Jared Harris as Hari Seldon; Lee Pace as Brother Day; Lou Llobell as Gaal; Leah Harvey as Salvor; Laura Birn as Demerzel; Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk; and Cassian Bilton as play Brother Dawn.
