A romantic getaway devolves into something far darker in “Bone Lake.” Its newly released trailer invites us to a secluded lakeside estate where two couples unwittingly share a mansion, igniting a seductive—and violent—nightmare. The film spills secrets, sex, and as Fangoria put it, “plenty of energy” wrapped in a twisty, bloody survival story.
Directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan with a screenplay by Joshua Friedlander, the film stars Maddie Hasson, Alex Roe, Andra Nechita, and Marco Pigossi. With its visual patina inspired by classics like “A Clockwork Orange” and “Funny Games,” this is horror with both style and savage intentions.

“Bone Lake” premiered at Fantastic Fest in September 2024 and even snagged a bronze Audience Award at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.
On the festival circuit, it wowed critics who praised its wild blend of gore and satirical tone. Now acquired by Bleecker Street for U.S. theaters, the film is set to hit screens nationwide on October 3, 2025.
