What’s “Flight Risk,” Mel Gibson‘s first directed film in nearly a decade? Well, it’s not anything like 2015’s “Hacksaw Ridge,” his previous one. Instead, this is near-DTV material: a suspense thriller that unfolds at 35,000 feet, with Mark Wahlberg in the lead role.

In this high-stakes suspense thriller, Mark Wahlberg plays a pilot transporting an Air Marshal, accompanying a fugitive to trial. As they cross the Alaskan wilderness, tensions soar, and trust is tested, as not everyone on board is who they seem.
Along with Wahlberg, “Flight Risk” also stars Michelle Dockery and Topher Grace.
Gibson directs a script by Jared Rosenberg for “Flight Risk” and produces alongside John Davis, John Fox, and Bruce Davey. Executive producers on the film include Alex Lebovici, Jenny Hinkey, Ryan D. Smith, Natasha Stassen, Allen Cheney, Christopher Woodrow, K. Blaine Johnston, Christian Mercuri, Petr Jákl, Vicki Christianson, Nick Guerra, Russell Hollander, Jon Huddle, Patrick Josten, Walter Josten, and Jordan Wagner.
