“The Boys” may now be over, but the slate of upcoming spinoffs of Prime Video‘s hit superhero satire is just getting started. Up next on that front? “Vought Rising,” a prequel series that focuses on the origins of Vought International and its founder, played by Aya Cash.
Cash’s Clara Vought/Stormfront and Jensen Ackle‘s Soldier Boy take center stage in the spinoff, but the series also stars Mason Dye, Will Hochman, KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Elizabeth Posey, Ricy Sattfieri, and Brian J. Smith. Sneak a peek at a few of those other cast members in the show’s new teaser, linked below.
Paul Grellong serves as show runner and executive producer on “Vought Rising.” Other executive producers include “The Boys” creator Eric Kripke, as well as Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, and Jim Barnes. “Vought Rising” is a Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios co-production, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.
Grellong’s prequel spinoff still lacks an official release date, but Prime Video looks poised to release it in 2027. But are you a fan of “The Boys” and not excited for this particular spinoff? Don’t worry, “The Boys: Mexico” is still on the way, although there hasn’t been much talk about it in a couple of years.
