The winner of the Un Certain Regard prize at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival has her next lined up at A24.

Deadline reports that British director’s Molly Manning Walker‘s next feature will be “Not Another F**cking Wedding.” No word yet on a plot or a genre for the film, but Plan B is also on board to produce, with Marie-Elena Dyche also producing. It’s Walker’s follow-up to her 2023 film “How To Have Sex,” which generated a lot of buzz out of Cannes that year before Mubi released it in US theaters in February 2024. Walker will write and direct “Not Another F**cking Wedding” like she did for her previous one, her directorial debut aftr many years as a cinematographer.
As for Plan B, Manning Walker’s latest is yet another joint production for Brad Pitt‘s banner and A24. Other projects between the two include “Moonlight,” “Minari,” “The Chaperones,” and Edward Berger‘s upcoming “The Riders,” which stars Pitt. Also of note: Manning Walker has worked with A24 before on “Major Players,” a UK women’s soccer series she directed, wrote, and executive producers via the studio and Channel 4.
Still, as of now, plot details for “Not Another F**cking Wedding” remain a mystery, but it may be wise to expect something in a similar vein to “How To Have Sex.” The 2023 film followed three British teens as they set out to lose their virginity while on vacation in Crete, with one of the girls left to navigate the aftermath of a sexual encounter she didn’t fully choose. Critics dug Manning Walker’s debut, so it’s safe to assume her follow-up will have quite a bit of buzz upon release, and most likely another major festival premiere.
