Maya Hawke has her first co-star on “The God Of The Woods,” Netflix‘s upcoming series adaptation of Liz Moore’s 2024 bestselling novel, and it’s none other than Kerry Condon.
The Irish actress will play Alice Van Laar in the limited series, centered around the dark legacy of an Adirondacks family, their summer camp, and the disappearance of their 13-year-old daughter. Condon’s role is as the matriarch of the wealthy but deeply troubled family, while Hawke plays Judy Luptack, a female investigator from the male-dominated Bureau of Criminal Investigation tasked with solving the missing persons case. Expect a couple of other buzzy names to get added to the ensemble before this project enters production.
Moore and Liz Hannah serve as co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers on “The God Of The Woods.” Other executive producers on the show include Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty via Original Film. The series is a Sony Pictures Television production.
Condon is coming off of “F1” and “Train Dreams,” with the D-Day drama “Pressure” on the way, in theaters on May 29.
Netflix will release “God Of The Woods” sometime in 2027. Stay tuned for further details.
