It was only a matter of time before the first “Heated Rivalry” knockoff premiered, right? Well, “Off Campus” is Prime Video‘s answer to that hit series, to an extent. But it’s also a little bit more than that, the obvious emphasis on hockey notwithstanding.

Based on the bestselling book series from Elle Kennedy, the first season of the new show focuses on an odd-couple romance between a quiet songwriter and Briar University’s biggest hockey star.

A college soap based on the bestselling book series, Off Campus, follows an elite ice hockey team and the women in their lives as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery—forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood. Season One follows the sexy and fun “opposites attract” romance between quiet songwriter, Hannah, and Briar University’s all-star hockey athlete, Garrett.
“Off Campus” stars Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli, Mika Abdalla, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Josh Heuston, and Stephen Kalyn.
Louisa Levy serves as creator, co-showrunner, and executive producer on “Off Campus” with Gina Fattore. Other executive producers include Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman via Temple Hill, Leanna Billings via Billings Productions, and Neal Flaherty.
