Canadian comedian Martin Short, famous for his singular energetic wit and long-standing friendship with fellow “SNL” alum Steve Martin, is still going strong after all these years. “Only Murders In The Building” remains a big hit for Hulu, and Short’s also recently made appearances in two doc on comedians of his generation, “I’m Chevy Chase And You’re Not” and “John Candy: I Like Me.”

Now it’s Short’s turn to get the documentary treatment, and this one comes courtesy of Netflix and his old friend Lawrence Kasdan. “Marty, Life Is Short” is a definitive look at the beloved comedian’s life and career, with never-before-seen archival footage and interviews with some of his closest friends and compatriots.
