Taylor-Johnson stars in “Fuze” as a British army major thrust into action after a WWII-era bomb is found on a London construction site. But that’s just the set-up to this twisty and tense thriller…

Here’s an official synopsis for “Fuze,” courtesy of Sky Cinema:

When a World War II-era bomb is found in a construction site in a busy area of London, the authorities quickly spring into action, determined to save the throngs of innocent bystanders in the vicinity. As the tension mounts and time threatens to run out, it soon becomes clear that no one can truly be trusted.

Along with Taylor-Johnson, “Fuze” also stars Theo James, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sam Worthington, Saffron Hawking, Elham Ehsas, and Honor Swinton Byrne.

David Mackenzie directs a script by Ben Hopkins for “Fuze.” Producers on the film include Sebastien Raybaud, Callum Grant, Mackenzie, and Gillian Berrie.

“Fuze” had its world premiere at TIFF last Fall, where The Playlist graded it a B-; read our review here. Roadside Attractions and Saba Films picked up the film’s US distribution rights at the festival, and plan to release it later this year.

“Fuze” hits UK theaters on April 3, but stay tuned for an official date for its US theatrical release. In the meantime, watch a trailer for the action thriller below.
