Last year, “Funny Face” director Tim Sutton‘s western “The Last Son” saw Colson Baker (aka Machine Gun Kelly) on the big screen yet again. While the film flopped, apparently Sutton and Baker like working together because they’re back with “Taurus,” ready to hit theaters next month.

Fresh off its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival and a screening at Tribeca Film Festival in June, “Taurus” sees Baker and Sutton blur the lines between fiction and reality. The new film stars Baker as a rock star struggling to find inspiration as he navigates his life’s caustic relationships.
Here’s the film’s official synopsis:
A rising but troubled musician searches for the inspiration to record one last song, pushing himself deep into the void. A work of fiction that explores fame, addiction, the artistic process, and the music industry, Taurus is a soulful and universal cautionary tale.
Alongside Baker, “Taurus” also stars Maddie Hasson, Scoot McNairy, Baker’s fiance Megan Fox, Demetrius Flenory Jr., and Naomi Wild. Baker and Sutton co-write the film’s script.
Baker’s performance in “Taurus” has ratcheted up many awards season buzz thanks to honors he received at Newport Beach Film Festival, San Diego Film Festival, and Savannah Film Fest. Is his role in the film a big step up from his turn as Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee in “The Dirt“? Find out on November 18 when “Taurus” hits theaters and digital on demand.
