At long last, Kogonada‘s “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” hits theaters this Fall. And don’t be surprised if it ends up as a big hit for the director. After all, it’s Margot Robbie‘s first big-screen performance since “Barbie” took over the world in Summer 2023, in a sweeping romantic film that’s bound to have universal appeal.

Colin Farrell, who starred in Kogonada’s previous film, “After Yang,” also stars in “A Big Bold Beautiful Adventure” with Robbie, about two strangers who meet at a wedding and embark on an unimaginable journey together.

Some doors bring you to your past. Some doors lead you to your future. And some doors change everything. Sarah (Margot Robbie) and David (Colin Farrell) are single strangers who meet at a mutual friend’s wedding and soon, through a surprising twist of fate, find themselves on A Big Bold Beautiful Journey– a funny, fantastical, sweeping adventure together where they get to re-live important moments from their respective pasts, illuminating how they got to where they are in the present…and possibly getting a chance to alter their futures.
Along with Robbie and Farrell, “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” also stars Kevin Kline, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Lily Rabe, Billy Magnussen, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Jennifer Grant.
Kogonada directs a script by Seth Reiss for the film. Producers include Bradley Thomas, Ryan Friedkin, Youree Henley, and Seth Reiss. Executive producers include Kogonada, Ilene Feldman, Micah Green, Daniel Steinman, John Atwood, Gino Falsetto, Ori Eisen, and Paul Mezey.
