“Bupkis” may have failed on Peacock, but Pete Davidson‘s post-“SNL” career is still going strong, with films like David Michôd‘s “Wizards!” on the way soon. But Davidson makes a pit stop into indie horror before A24 releases Michôd’s latest with “The Home,” the new film from “The Purge” creator James DeMonaco.

DeMonaco’s first film since 2021’s “This Is The Night” sees Davidson star as a twenty-something sentenced to community service at a suspicious retirement home. Here’s an official synopsis for “The Home,” courtesy of Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions:
In this horror thriller from the creator of The Purge, a rebellious twentysomething is sentenced to community service at a quiet retirement home. The residents on the fourth floor are strictly off-limits, said to require “special care.” As his suspicions grow and he digs deeper, he uncovers a chilling secret that puts both the residents’ lives and his own in grave danger.
Along with Davidson, “The Home” also stars John Glover, Bruce Altman, Ethan Phillips, and Marilee Talkington. DeMonaco co-writes the film’s script with Adam Contor in addition to directing. Bill Block and Sebastien K. Lemercier produce the film.
“The Home” hits theaters on July 25. Watch a trailer for the horror movie below.
