Good news, “Daredevil: Born Again” fans: there’s even more of the Disney+ series on the way beyond Season 2, set to debut next March.
Marvel Head of TV, Streaming, and Animation Brad Winderbaum confirmed yet another season of the hit show in a new interview with IGN today. “In terms of “Daredevil,” yeah, we are greenlit for Season 3, and we start shooting next year,” he told the outlet. The news comes after series stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio gave differing takes on the show’s future. Now, Winderbaum sets the record straight: the show will continue beyond the next ten-episode season.
This should come as no surprise to Marvel fans. “Born Again” is arguably the most anticipated MCU series to premiere on Disney+. Originally a full reboot of the original Netflix series that ran for three seasons from 2015-2018, Marvel execs repurposed the show into more of a direct continuation after watching early versions of the episodes. That mid-production pivot was evident once “Born Again” S1 aired back back in March, but the show still garnered positive reviews from critics, and more than satisfied fans of Cox’s Matt Murdoch.
But Murdoch wasn’t the only original “Daredevil” character who returned in “Born Again.” Along with D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, a gangster who became mayor in Season 1, Jon Bernthal‘s The Punisher also showed up in the S1 finale. He’ll be back in S2, as well, along with a “The Punisher” special set to premiere on Disney+ before the next batch of “Born Again” episodes. Also confirmed to return in S2? Krysten Ritter‘s Jessica Jones, and more regular appearances for Deborah Ann Woll‘s Karen Page and Wilson Bethel‘s Bullseye.
So why another season of “Born Again” over at Disney+? Beyond the show’s legacy on Netflix, it’s also Marvel’s biggest hit on the streamer. The show ratcheted 7.5 million viewers worldwide in its first five days, and both Marvel and Disney+ expect even better bumbers for Season 2 in March 2026. As for S3, production start on those episodes next year, so expect it on Disney+ in late 2026/early 2027.
