It’s only been eight days since cinema lost Michael Madsen, one of his generation’s most beloved character actors and a perennial fan favorite. But there remain several Madsen projects on the way, with “Mr. Wonderful” likely the first to reach audiences.

In the film, Madsen plays a college professor navigating several family crises, including a wayward son succumbing to drug addiction and his father’s descent into dementia.

MR. WONDERFUL tells the gripping story of three men bound by blood but divided by circumstance. A millennial desperately fleeing from a dangerous drug dealer. His father, a disillusioned professor fighting to salvage his career. And their patriarch, battling the cruel advance of senility. Each generation searches for purpose and meaning as their worlds collide in unexpected ways. Along with Madsen, “Mr. Wonderful” also stars Robert Miano, Brittany Underwood, Lew Temple, and Bradley Striker. Erik Fellows and Robert Laenen round out the main cast
Mark David directs a script by Daniel Blake Smith for “Mr. Wonderful.” Pauline Jones produces the pic, with Scott Stoltz on board as executive producer via SCS Studio Filmz.
