'The Book Of Boba Fett' Teaser: The Series' Creators Talk About The Legacy Of The 'Star Wars' Icon

When it comes to Disney+‘s ‘Star Wars’ shows, there’s a lot of exciting stuff on the way, “Obi-Wan Kenobi” and “Andor” among them. Now, the latest one is almost here: “The Book Of Boba Fett” premieres just in time for the new year.

The first spin-off of the smash hit “The Mandalorian,” the new series follows the further misadventures of the notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett and fellow mercenary Fennec Shand as they head to Tatooine to take over Jabba The Hutt’s crime syndicate. Unfortunately for them, the galaxy’s underworld never strikes an easy bargain.

Temuera Morrison and Mina-Na Wen return as Boba Fett and Fennec Shand for the new series. Details on other cast members remain slim at the moment, but Jennifer Beals will show up at some point as a Twi’lek. However, given this show’s connection to “The Mandalorian,” expect some familiar faces to show up, perhaps even Din Djarin himself, Pedro Pascal.

Robert Rodriguez shares directing duties on “Boba Fett” with Jon Favreau, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Dave Filoni. All four also share executive producers credits with Kathleen Kennedy.

“The Book Of Boba Fett” is just the first of several Star Wars shows on the way to Disney+. “Obi-Wan Kenobi” and “Andor” are set for releases in 2022, with “The Mandalorian” Season Three close behind them. Another “Mandalorian” spin-off, “Ashoka,” is on the way, too. Unfortunately, the news broke recently that the other planned spin-off, “Rangers Of The New Republic,” has seemingly been shelved.

All those shows come next year, but audiences won’t wait that long for “The Book Of Boba Fett.” The new show premieres on December 29, only on Disney+. Check out the new teaser below:
