Did the poor success of “The Running Man” and “Chad Powers” last year slow down the ascent of Glen Powell? It’s difficult to say right now, but maybe the box office performance of the actor’s next movie, “How To Make A Killing,” will provide an answer while another Powell project, JJ Abrams‘ blockbuster “The Great Beyond,” awaits an official release date.

Loosely based on the 1949 film “Kind Hearts And Coronets,” the black comedy hits theaters next month and stars Powell as Becket Redfellow, a man dead-set on reclaiming his inheritance from the family that disowned him by any means necessary.
Here’s an official synopsis for “How To Make A Killing,” courtesy of Studiocanal:
Disowned at birth by his obscenely wealthy family, blue-collar Becket Redfellow (Glen Powell) will stop at nothing to reclaim his inheritance, no matter how many relatives stand in his way.
Along with Powell, “How To Make A Killing” also stars Margaret Qualley, Jessica Henwick, Bill Camp, Zach Woods, Topher Grace, and Ed Harris. Bianca Amato, Raff Law, and Sean Cameron Mitchell round out the main cast.
John Patton Ford writes and directs the black comedy, with Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin on board as co-producers. “How To Make A Killing” is a co-production between Studiocanal and Blueprint Pictures.
