'No Hard Feelings' Red Band Trailer: Jennifer Lawrence Stars In A Raunchy R-Rated Rom-Com On June 23

After “Don’t Look Up” and “Causeway,” Jennifer Lawrence‘s Hollywood comeback is now complete. But for her next film, she veers into a new and unexpected direction: edgy, R-rated comedy. Enter “No Hard Feelings,” out this summer, Lawrence’s first foray into the genre.

So what to expect from “No Hard Feelings”? Well, with Gene Stupnitsky directing and co-writing, expect something like “Bad Teacher” with a “Risky Business” twist. Lawrence stars as a desperate woman who gets roped into a family’s disastrous plan to get someone to date their shy son. What could go wrong? Pretty much everything.

Here’s the official synopsis for “No Hard Feelings,” courtesy of Sony Pictures Releasing:

On the brink of losing her childhood home, Maddie (Lawrence) discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, before he leaves for college. To her surprise, Maddie soon discovers the awkward Percy is no sure thing.

Alongside Lawrence, “No Hard Feelings” also stars Andrew Barth FeldmanMatthew BroderickNatalie MoralesLaura Benanti, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.  Scott MacarthurKyle MooneyHasan MinhajJarquez McClendon, and Alysia Joy Powell round out the main cast.  

Stupnitsky directs “No Hard Feelings,” and co-writes the film with John Phillips. It’s Stupnitksy’s first film since the 2019 coming-of-age comedy “Good Boys.”
