Ex-Disney star Hoyt stars opposite “Sex Education” actor Connor Swindells in Netflix‘s Christmas-set crime rom-com, about two disgruntled department store employees who decide to rob the place on Xmas Eve. Of course, it proves an uneasy alliance, fraught with disagreements, secrets, and tension, lots of romantic tension.
Here’s an official synopsis for “Jingle Bell Heist,” courtesy of Netflix:
Sophia (Olivia Holt), a sharp-witted retail worker, and Nick (Connor Swindells), a down-on-his-luck repairman, are small-time thieves with their eyes on the same Christmas Eve score: robbing London’s most notorious department store. Forced into an uneasy alliance, as secrets surface and feelings for each other deepen, Sophia and Nick put their relationship and the heist in jeopardy.
Along with Holt and Swindells, the film also stars Lucy Punch, Peter Serafinowicz, and Poppy Drayton.
Michael Fimognari directs a script by Abby McDonald and Amy Reed, based on a story by McDonald. Matt Kaplan produces the film, with Shannon Gibson on board as co-producer. Executive producers include Christopher Foss, Fimognari, Mark Lane, James Harris, Matthew Janzen, and Aubrey Bendix.
“Jingle Bell Heist” hits Netflix on November 26. Watch a trailer for the rom-com below.
