Will S4 give Billy Crudup his third Emmy win in a row for his role as UBA CEO Cory Ellison? It’s hard not to bet against him when he does so well in the part, playing against Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon onscreen, but the new additions to the show’s ensemble cast for S4 should also perk up some eyebrows.
Here’s an official synopsis for “The Morning Show” S4, courtesy of Apple TV+:
“The Morning Show” season four opens in spring 2024, almost two years after the events of season three. With the UBA-NBN merger complete, the newsroom must grapple with newfound responsibility, hidden motives and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America. In a world rife with deepfakes, conspiracy theories and corporate cover-ups — who can you trust? And how can you know what’s actually real?
Along with Aniston, Witherspoon and Crudup, the show’s ensemble cast includes Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Nicole Beharie, and Jon Hamm. Newcomers this season include Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper, Boyd Holbrook, Marion Cotillard, and Jeremy Irons.
Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt and director Mimi Leder both return for “The Morning Show” S4. The pair also serve as executive producers on the series with Witherspoon, Aniston, Michael Ellenberg, Lindsey Springer, Lauren Neustadter, Kristen Hahn, Zander Lehmann and Micah Schrfact. “The Morning Show” is a Media Res production.
“The Morning Show” S4 premieres on Apple TV+ on September 17, with new episodes premiering weekly through November 19. Watch a trailer for the new season below.
