Based on Jack El-Hai‘s book “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist,” “Nuremberg” stars Michael Shannon as Robert H. Jackson, chief prosecutor of the Trials, as he faces off against powerful Nazi figure Hermann Göring, played by Russell Crowe. Rami Malek also stars.

Here’s an official synopsis for the film, courtesy of Sony Pictures Classics:

The Allies, led by the unyielding chief prosecutor, Robert H. Jackson, have the task of ensuring the Nazi regime answers for the unveiled horrors of the Holocaust while a US Army psychiatrist is locked in a dramatic psychological duel with former Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring.

Along with Crowe, Malek, and Shannon, “Nuremberg” also stars Leo Woodall, Richard E. Grant, John Slattery, Mark O’Brien, Colin Hanks, Lydia Peckham, and Wrenn Schmidt.

James Vanderbilt directs “Nuremberg,” and adapts El-Hai’s book for the screenplay. He also produces the film with Richard Saperstein, William Sherak, Brad Fischer, Istvan Major, and Paul Neinstein.

“Nuremberg” has its world premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival in its Gala Presentations section. The film then hits theaters on November 7. Watch a teaser for the historical drama below.
