Season 4 of Mike White‘s Emmy-winning HBO series takes place in France and follows the show’s usual formula, tracking the luxury hotel’s various rich, vapid, and criminally inclined guests over the course of a week. The series also has a knack for bringing back guests from previous seasons, but so far there’s no indication that’ll happen this season. As for this season’s overarching theme? That’s also under wraps for now.
White returns as writer and director for “The White Lotus” Season 4, and also executive produces with the returning David Bernard and Mark Kamine. Bernard teased what to expect in S4 to THR last summer: “I think it’s going to speak to culture in a way that […] is going to be relevant. I don’t want to say too much [other than] I know what it is and where it’s going, and it’s really exciting, and I think people will be happy about the direction of season four.”
Carter adds “The White Lotus” S4 to other upcoming projects like the TV series “California Avenue” and “Enola Holmes 3.” Other recent work for the actress includes the Netflix limited series “Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials,” which premiered on the streamer last year. As for Messina, he’s coming off of “Juror #2” and “Based On A True Story,” with “Lear Rex” and “Pressure” on the way. “The White Lotus” is the first major casting for newcomer Long, known primarily as a model.
Given the size of previous “White Lotus” ensemble casts, it’s safe to expect some more casting announcements as the new season inches closer to production. As for a premiere date, expect Season 4 on HBO and HBO Max sometime in 2027.
