New 'Gangs Of London' Season 2 Trailer: The Hit Series Returns To AMC+ On November 17

The Raid” director Gareth Evans struck gold in 2020 with “Gangs Of London.” Based on the 2006 video game of the same name, the show was a fast favorite in the UK on Sky Atlantic before AMC picks up the US broadcast rights; then the show really took off. Now, the show returns with its much-anticipated second season, with London’s soul hanging in the balance.

Set one year after the events of Season One, the new batch of episodes see the map of power in the city being redrawn. Here’s a brief synopsis for Season 2:

Since the collapse of the Wallace Dumani empire, order is lacking and the energy and chaos of a gold rush threatens the city with gangland anarchy. As The Investors step in, a new gang leader is tasked with restoring the status quo.  

Stars Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù and Paapa Essiedu reprise their roles from “Gangs Of London” Season One. Also returning are Lucian Msamati, Michelle Fairley, Orli Shuka, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Brian Vernel, Narges Rashidi, Asif Raza, and Valene Kane. Newcomers to the ensemble cast include Waleed Zuaiter, French rapper Jasmine Armando, Fady El-Sayed, Salem Kail, and Aymen Hamdouchi.

The new eight-episode season hits the UK on Sky Atlantic on October 20, while it premieres on AMC+ for US audiences on November 17. Watch the trailer below.
