'Revoir Paris' Trailer: Alice Winocour's Latest With Virginie Efira Hits U.S. Theaters This June

Alice Winocour‘s “Revoir Paris,” or its English title “Paris Memories,” bowed at the Cannes Film Festival last May to general acclaim. And later on, star Virginie Efira nabbed a César for her performance. Now the film finally hits stateside, with a brief screening period at Film At Lincoln Center before it debuts in theaters in June.

“Revoir Paris” sees Winocour further explore how trauma affects both personal and national bodies. The film follows a woman as she tries to put her life back together after surviving a terrorist attack in Paris.

Here’s a synopsis for “Revoir Paris”:

One Saturday evening in autumn, Mia is caught in a terrorist attack on a Parisian bistro. Three months later, still unable to pick her life back up and remembering only fragments of that night, Mia decides to investigate her memories to find a way back to happiness.

Alongside Efira, “Revoir Paris” also stars Benoît MagimelClaire Denis regular Grégoire ColinMaya SansaAmadou Mbow, and Nastya Golbeva.  Anne-Lise Heimburger and Sofia Lesaffre round out the main cast.

“Revoir Paris” is Winocour’s first film since 2019’s “Proxima,” with Eva Green and Matt Dillon. The film had its North American premiere at TIFF last September.
