The throwback action-thriller stars Kiernan Shipka as a commune runaway in search of her family. But Krysten Ritter‘s commune leader has other ideas, and she’ll pay Kiefer Sutherland‘s crooked cop whatever it takes to get her way…
Here’s an official synopsis for “Stone Cold Fox,” courtesy of Vertical Entertainment:
In this ’80s revenge story, the defiant Fox (Shipka) breaks out of an abusive commune in search of her family. But when the queenpin (Ritter) kidnaps her little sister and sends a crooked cop (Sutherland) after her, Fox has no choice but to infiltrate the very place she escaped.
Along with Shipka, Ritter, and Sutherland, the film also stars Mishel Prada and Karen Fukuhara.
Tabet co-writes the script for “Stone Cold Fox” with Julia Roth along with directing, baed on a story by Tabet, Roth, and Jonathan Craven.
Producers on “Stone Cold Fox” include Stephan Braun via Bee-Hive, Chris Abernathy and Eric B. Fleischman via The Wonder Company, Craven, Roth, and Tabet. Executive producers include Joe Roth, Andrea Bucko, Emily Hunter Salveson, and Ross Putman.
“I grew up on gritty ’80s action-thrillers, so getting to make my own audacious thrill-ride with a fearless partner like Vertical handling the release is a dream come true,” Tabet said in a press statement about her first film. “I’m endlessly grateful to the incredible cast and crew who brought this labor of love to life.”
“Stone Cold Fox” hits theaters on November 7. Watch a trailer for the film below.
