Netflix‘s upcoming Las Vegas casino drama “The Roman” already boasts a loaded ensemble cast, headlined by Oscar Isaac. Now Deadline reports that the show’s ensemble is even larger, with Vincent D’Onofrio, Kate Mara, Clancy Brown, Thomas Sadoski, and Jason Schwartzman joining the cast.
Here’s a breakdown of who each actor will play in the series, about the high-stakes casino business in contemporary Sin City, with Isaac’s owner “Bobby Red” Redman at its center. D’Onofrio and Mara will be series regulars, as MMA mogul Dominic Ward and entrepreneur Holly Reeve, respectively. Brown and Sadoski have recurring roles, with Brown as the shady Elwood and Sadoski as self-destructive culinary superstar Chef Luca. Meanwhile, Schwartzman has a guest role as David Krupp, an heir with a gambling problem whose mounting debts attract unwanted attention.
The five newcomers join the previously announced Isaac, Betty Gilpin, Alex Baldwin, David Costabile, Shalom Brune-Franklin, and Jimmy O. Yang. Isaac is also on board as executive producer, with other executive producers including Martin Scorsese/Sikelia Productions, Julie Yorn and Rick Yorn via Expanded Media, Paul Schiff, Beth Schachter, Kerry Orent, and JC Chandor (who also directs the show’s first two episodes). Creators/showrunners Brian Koppel and David Levien also exec produce the series.
Expect “The Roman” to be a big hit for Netflix whenever it premieres in 2027. Stay tuned for an official release date.
