Have HBO subscribers had enough for “Game Of Thrones“? Based on the success of “House Of The Dragon,” not at all, and that’s why the network has several other prequel series and spinoffs in the works. Up next in that pipeline? “A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms,” a new show set in Westeros that premieres next January.

And George R.R. Martin was on hand at New York ComicCon to premiere the first teaser for the series below. Based on Martin’s fantasy novellas and set between the original HBO series and “House Of The Dragon,” the latest spinoff follows a knight and his squire as they travel through Westeros and get mixed up in adventures.

A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg…Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.
“A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms” stars Peter Claffey as “Dunk” and Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg,” with Finn Bennett, Bertie Carvel, Tanzyn Crawford, Daniel Ings, and Sam Spruell also part of the main cast.
Ira Parker serves as co-creator and showrunner for “A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms,” with Martin also a co-creator. The pair also executive produce the series with Ryan Condal, Vince Gerardis, Owen Harris, and Sarah Bradshaw. Owen Harris and Sarah Adina Smith share directing duties on the show’s six episodes.
