New 'Jack Ryan' S3 Trailer: John Krasinki's CIA Analyst Returns To Prime Video On December 21

John Krasinski may be the fifth actor to portray Tom Clancy‘s CIA analyst Jack Ryan over the years, but he’s one of the most popular.  Prime Video‘s “Jack Ryan” has quite the fanbase, and now, their wait is over. Season 3 of the series hits the streamer later this month, just in time for the holidays.

And the third season of “Jack Ryan” sees the character on the tail of a rogue Russian faction, only for him to wind up with his government issuing a Red Notice for his arrest.

In the third season of the action-thriller series, Jack Ryan is working as a CIA case officer in Rome, when he is tipped off that the Sokol Project, a secret plan to restore the Soviet Empire, is being resurrected more than 50 years after it was thought to have been shut down. Jack embarks on a mission to confirm the intelligence, but things quickly go awry, and he is wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy. Accused of treason, with a Red Notice out for his arrest, Jack is forced to run from his own government, if he has any hope of uncovering the rogue faction before it’s too late. Crisscrossing Europe as he is hunted by former allies and new enemies alike, Jack races against the clock to stop the cascade of destabilizing conflicts from leading to global catastrophe.

Along with Krasinski, the new season of “Jack Ryan” sees Wendell Pierce and Michael Kelly return to reprise their roles from S1 and S2. Newcomers this season include Betty GabrielJames CosmoPeter GuinnessNina Hoss, and Alexei Mavelov. Also on board is Michael Peña as Ding Chavez, who will have a main role in the show’s upcoming fourth season. Prime Video also has a spinoff series about Peña’s Chavez in the works.
