‘Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard & Soft: The Tour (Live In 3D)’ Trailer: James Cameron & Billie Eilish Co-Direct Immersive Concert Film

Billie Eilish and James Cameron surprised us earlier in the year, announcing they would be collaborating on a new concert film titled “Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard & Soft: The Tour (Live In 3D),” as Paramount Skydance is set to release the movie in theaters in March and has dropped a first-look trailer for the must-see music pic.

This comes after pal/peer Taylor Swift has had big-time success with her own concert movie from 2023, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” that Swift ended up releasing herself with distribution help from AMC Theaters, leading to the very impressive box office return of $261.6 million (embarrassing multiple studios that passed on the lucrative idea). We’re sure that Paramount Pictures is hoping to replicate that previous achievement with audiences.

Captured during her sold-out world tour, “Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard & Soft: The Tour (Live In 3D)” brings an innovative new concert experience to the big screen from one of the most celebrated and successful artists of her generation. Presented in immersive 3D, the film is directed by Academy Award winners James Cameron and Billie Eilish.

Eilish is no stranger to the world of cinema after winning two Best Original Song Oscar statues for the James Bond film “No Time To Die” and following that up with a heartbreaking tune for Greta Gerwig‘s “Barbie.”

Cameron, of course, has the third installment of his “Avatar” franchise coming out on December 19th. Although, it remains to be seen if the filmmaker will ultimately end up helming “Avatar 4” and “Avatar 5” as he’s hinted the film’s global box office cume will be a key factor on how Disney/20th Century Studios decides to move forward (Cameron suggesting he’s open to a replacement director, but isn’t interested in handing creative control of the franchise over entirely).
