Back in October, it was announced by Netflix that a new series, “Kennedy,” about Joe Kennedy Sr. (former Prohibition era bootlegging kingpin and father of President Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy), with Michael Fassbender (“The Killer”) being enlisted to play him, and “Another Round” director Thomas Vinterberg is involved, too.
Now, the streaming service has announced the show’s main cast lineup and who they’ll be playing, which features Laura Donnelly (who played Elsa Bloodstone in Marvel‘s “Werewolf By Night“) as Rose Kennedy, Nick Robinson as Joe Kennedy Jr., and Joshuah Melnick as Jack Kennedy. Others among the cast include Ben Miles (recently seen in Lucasfilm‘s “Andor“) as Eddie Moore, Lydia Peckham as Rosemary Kennedy, Saura Lightfoot-Leon as Kick Kennedy, Cole Doman as Lem Billings, and Imogen Poots as Gloria Swanson.

“Kennedy” hails from showrunner and executive producer Sam Shaw (“Castle Rock,” “Masters of Sex”) and is based on the Fredrik Logevall novel “JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917-1956.”
